Ucademy’s Collab with Ed-Tech partner P4P

Skills development has shifted as we usher in the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR). Ucademys' recent Ed-tech collaboration with Passion for Performance (P4P), is an example of using cloud-based technology to bringing different role-players within the learning process together. Darryn Van Den Berg, CEO of P4P, discusses how digital assessment is disrupting education and changing the workplace.

P4P is a disruptive education technology company using a stand-alone Electronic Portfolio of Evidence (E-P.O.E.) capturing and online skills assessment tracking solution. They are the leading cloud platform for competency assessment and learning tracks, with supporting portfolios of evidence. Enabling effective assessment, moderation, management, and reporting for learning programmes, on-job-coaching sessions, learnerships, RPL, and Skills Programmes.

Using the Ucademy assessment criteria, employees/learners are now able to build a Portfolio of Evidence (P.O.E) live in the workplace, whilst doing their jobs, and then get assessed online, receive immediate feedback from their assessors, progress through their life long learning journey and finally take their results, P.O.E.’s and achievements, with them in the P4P Backpack.

P4P partners as the digital interface our learners/employees to demonstrate their skills live and to increase their training footprint. P4P is the overlay to different technologies and methodologies. Using the assessment criteria of clients, they provide immediate access to the individual learner’s progress, assessment results, assessment reports, and moderation on an ongoing basis.

Some of the main recognised learning modes that P4P can enhance are:

  • E-Learning (platform technology required) the use of electronic educational technology in learning and teaching
  • M-Learning (platform and numerous technologies required) learning across multiple contexts, MOOC’s, social and content interactions, using personal electronic devices
  • Distance Learning (platform and numerous technologies required) a mode of delivering education and instruction, often on an individual basis, to students who are not physically present in a traditional setting such as a classroom
  • Blended Learning (platform, E-Learning, M-learning & numerous technologies) a formal education program in which a student learns at least in part through delivery of content and instruction via digital and online media with some element of student control over time, place, path, or pace.

P4P Users include:

  • LEARNERS/EMPLOYEESASSESSORS/MODERATORS/MEDIATORS/VERIFIERS
  • COMPANIES/EMPLOYERS/GOVERNING BODIES
  • ASSOCIATIONS AND FEDERATIONS

We are excited to see this Ed-tech collaboration improve learning and development growth. Watch this space!
